Is it safer to live on the surface?
Shallow living, shallow breathing, sharing the news, the weather and any information may keep the undercurrents that create tsunamis of feeling-thought-sensations asleep - or at least numbed out. For many this is the norm and if it is fulfilling for their soul then BRAVO! But shallow is not for me, is it for you?
I want to share with you why I love deep living - even when it brings profound pain and endless little deaths of what I felt was grace.
Living deep is the conscious and heart driven choice of finding meaning in all. It is not a rational cause and effect answer though. It's a body-mind-soul response to life as it comes and unvelops its charge. The charge is what we receive and what moves through us gifting us an experience. Pleasant or painful, sparkly or dim all of them can become shallow or deep, depending on our dive into it.
I like deep, shallow is not possible, it is awkward and I become mute. Deep makes life full of love, even when grieving is what is up - and some sort of grieving seems to hold my hand most of the time.
Deep also means intimate because it invites witnessing, presence in the magic now and dialogue without armor - be it with a part of our Self or another being. Hiding from our own drama only makes it more distant and gives it permission to grow. Why not look at it in the eye and invite it in to share its story and give us its gift - another lost piece of our being buried below some limiting belief that can set us free. Even if we freeze, and shake, cry or sneeze, it will pass and we will be more whole and cozy in our skin and bones.
We are more than we can see. This life trip is beyond contrast. Deep and shallow dance in life.
May you honor your unique way to travel your dream.
It sounds dense and dark, but it really is an act of devotion and love.
Letting your Yoga Practice die is a gift in your journey of making your Yoga come alive.
Have you felt totally uninspired to move your body and exhausted even at the thought of one more sun salutation? Have you considered being an exclusive gym girl with a trainer and drop the whole holistic approach to wellness and vibrant health and beauty of body & soul? Have you questioned everything about the depth of it all?
Well... I certainly have and still do.
Questions are life giving. No matter the realm and experience, they open a gate into what is wanting to be born, both known and unknown.
When my older son was one and a half and yoga practice was lost and transmuted into a bunch of anxious interruption vibes - since my magic boy has never quite fallen in love with deep sleeping... just now @ 11 years old he is wanting to be in bed hanging out reading... Anyway - sadhana was just a mirror into the many deaths that come with becoming a mother - even if you have always dreamed to be one!
I had always loved being with my Self in creation and healing adventures. Yoga practice at home, in nature, beach time, art, sculpt, write read, cook... and having little boyfriend increased the joy of it all and also dramatically killed the timing of it all.
I wish I had then known that the feeling of being interrupted could be shifted into a gratitude pause... It took me many years to subtly feel how my heart and mind could just tip over to the sacred side of just being and knowing yoga is not just a non-stop flow of asana and ujjayi breathing- although it is pretty blissful when possible too!
So yoga became very dim and grim and my body-soul knew there was something deeper I needed to explore. So I listened and waited and kundalini was the keyword. But not just any kundalini journey, I knew I would be guided to the one I was meant to dive deep into to rebirth. While baby napped I searched with devotion, knowing the guidance would pop up, and it finally did! A Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training 30 minutes away from home!!!!!!
All in me said YES!
I shared with Adam - my green Man and he was completely supportive and happy to play with his son while I gifted my hungry Self what it needed to return to spark.
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan RIP , gifted me the experience of becoming cozy in the Naad- the sound of creation- and feeling how it is all about our vibration. How breath, mantra, yantra, asana, bhakti, structure and bliss are all the foundations of true peace. I got a golden present, the alchemy of transmuting our shit- physical, emotional, mental and spiritual blocks & muck- is possible if we are willing to face it an move our instrument (Body).
Fanatic at first with 3 am Sadhana and 120 day kriya practices to make them part of who I am, to making it mine with love in bed or just chanting silently the Gurmukhi life giving mantras that balance the mind and heart with only 3 minutes of repetition... I love Kundalini Yoga and it came to rebirth Yoga for me.
Everything dies. Yoga practice too. I love witnessing rebirths. Do you?
Let me know how Yoga is going for you!
We can come inside too," said one of the beautiful Mamas, although it is pretty messy...
"0h... you mean it's alive?" said the other one.
I LOVE that!!!!!!
Alive feels life giving and inspiring of everything wild, while messy drags the burdens of judgement for not doing or being enough...
Yes to Alive!
No to messy!
But chaos is inevitable...
Children play and creative chaos comes. It's part of the dance of family life; although to some Mamas who love beauty and rejoice in pristine zen-like environments where the outer emptiness inspires and maybe reflects inner spaciousness, the mess might feel like one more dreaded task ... more things Mama needs to pick up?!!!
Mama needs to choose peace, ease and bliss!
Peace, ease and bliss start within your mind and heart. When you say NO to what shuts down the spark in your eye (that shimmer that glances back at you when you recognize your Self in the mirror, and are feeling cozy in your skin and bones), you give your Self the gift of true Peace, your step into your Peace Power!
You Beautiful Mama, need to live in this soft essence of Self. Feeling rooted and winged: feeling your Body like a mountain, and your Mind and Heart as the vast sky. You deserve to feel alive in your Peace Power.
Say yes to play Goddess Mama! Play is sacred- it also means pray! No need to get religious, just cozy with the infinite life force within you and in all that is that sings every time you grin!
It is OK to have a messy house when you and your kids are having fun.
Trade messy for alive Dear Mama, enjoy Peace.
I love you!
PS. Let me know if this word trade lightens your days and ways, and if you are laughing more!
Do you want to feel cozier in your skin and bones ?
Sometimes instead of cozy and in flow, we feel stuck and disconnected from glow... how can we move through it and return to feeling cozy in our Body - Soul?
Our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual Body is a vast and endless multiverse. It holds our stories - from this lifetime and those before and beyond. When we feel stuck something is up! An physical, mental, emotional or spiritual imprint is wanting to rise up to our awareness, so we can feel it, hear it and shine our light beam upon it - allowing it to join our Body-Soul or be free to return to the infinite life force that shimmers in all creation.
What do you do when feeling stuck?
Feeling stuck is part of dwelling in the vibration of dim, experiencing either a deep or subtle disconnect from feeling the golden thread that gracefully weaves darkness and light creating our life. Our sh*t is gold beautiful One, resisting it is not worth it! The shadowy waves of our inner ocean bring us the gift of Self expansion and mask free living. We just need to say YES and courageously do what we need to meet the messenger.
There are many bridges that can help us become intimate with the dense and dark feeling-thought-sensations that come and go to our shore. Your way is as unique as you are. Kundalini Yoga is one of my preferred paths of traveling from dim to SHINE - from stuck to Flow and Glow.
I want to share with you why - because I know you are into authentic living and inner freedom. I know that you if you are experiencing contraction of Body- Soul as you evolve and remember more and more who you are and why you came back to this earthly realm. You want vibrational alignment which translates to feeling really cozy in your skin and bones so you can spread love and light to all.
Kundalilni Yoga helps us balance the vibrational frequency. It helps our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being bring forth to the surface of our awareness that which is stuck and no longer serves us so we can burn it in the flame of the fire that is born from remembering who we really are and relax in the continuous cycle of birth-life-death and rebirth.
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan uses Asana (Healing Body Shapes & Movements), Pranayama (breath awarness), Mantra (sacred sound), Drishti (eye positioning) and Bhakti (Devotion) to help us journey through our multiverse to tune into our true Self, the star seed of infinity that is within us and in all that is.
Guru Singh's words below - about evolution and fluidity can bring more clarity into how Kundalini Yoga guides us in our manifesting our desire to shift from stuck to Flow and Glow:
"Accelerating movements in evolution compare to exercising your body. Rapid starts and stops cause muscle fibers to bunch and cling together out of self-protection. Intentional movements like Tai Chi, Qigong, and the kriyas of Kundalini yoga are helpful for separating these strands of muscles, the nerve lines, and the other tissue fibers to produce a more fluid body. Physical fluidity produces emotional flexibility -- to be emotionally accurate and intimate in the variety of moments taking place in life. Fluidity in all your bodies -- physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual is an optimal state of development . . . essential for forward movement."
Kundalini Yoga needs to be experienced. Even 3 minutes of a KY meditation can gift you vibrational alignment for many hours and even days too!

All my love*
Yoga keeps being my lover. It takes me to deep places of bliss and peace, untangling the karmic chords from their tight bundles.
Our ways of moving through our sh*t are as unique as we are. Yoga is one of my favorite ones, I want to share with you why!
The Art and Path of Yoga blesses our infinite essence and allows us to get up close and intimate with the tiny particles of star dust that make us up, and through its practice it reminds us we are wrapped in the subtle life force of breath - until death!
Our life experience is made up out of patches of vibrational imprints, and the ocean of feeling-thoughts-sensationss within shapes our core frequency of light. These waves define the way we perceive and live on this earthly realm.
There are plenty of dense vibrations hanging out with us, waiting to be witnessed and released, to return to the vast universe of creation, where all that is keeps being born again and again.
Choosing to look at the sh*t that drags us down is the bridge that allows us to truly remember who we are. Our lack of awareness, and the way we respond to the ever changing waves of life- both within and without, is what keeps us dim and grim. Choosing to be ALL we are is intense work. It requires authentic commitment to allowing darkness and love to coexist, dance and make love!
There are many ways to support the deep hunger for living aligned with our star seed essence - that source of infinite love-light (which also includes shadow!)
I find Yoga is one of the most powerful arts and paths we can explore and practice to strengthen the power of choosing to live honoring the contrasting waves of life, feeling them ALL, and lovingly selecting to grow only those that nourish our flow and glow!
I love what Guru Singh says:
"shift the body’s physical fascia through angles and postures and you alter the peptides and hormones from your glands and organs that produce your emotions. This is the benefit of yoga’s body posturing and conscious breathing -- it changes the angles of your emotions to open your awareness of the light... use yoga to shape your character while breathing infinity into your life. Change the world around you, by changing the world inside you."
Whether you are a devoted yogini or just curious about it, knowing that the full power of Yoga can be felt by bringing awareness and intention into the ongoing breath is an exhilarating blessing, don't you think?
Each cycle of breath is an opportunity to celebrate being alive, call in a quality we need - inhale it- allow it to flood our being, and then exhale sharing it with all beings as a potent blessing!
All my love!
Sat Nam, Namaste!
Amazing Gabby Bernstein says your presence is your power, and you access it through stillness.
"My power lies in my peaceful presence", she says.
Yes, I am with her !
Our presence is our vibrational offering. The energy we emanate, shine and share. What we gift oursselves and all beings everywhere.
Peace can be this gift.
But how can we experience it?
I used to think that to feel and live in peace I had to have ONLY peaceful feeling-thoughts-sensations, but now I gladly know from my heart and gut that it is ALL about being at peace with ALL of them!
When we allow the full spectrum of feeling-thoughts-sensations to dance through us -unhindered, we create a solid ground that hold sacred space for us, so we can be cozy within the ocean of light & dark feeling-thoughts-sensations waves that we dwell in breath by breath.
Peace has to do with cultivating the art of appreciating how darkness and light make love, now and forever. It is born from validating contrasting experiences and finding the calm compassionate and passionate eye at the center of the hurricane. Once we feel the vast love that vibrates here, we want to stay.
I like envisioning myself in a continued embrace with this eye. Witnessing both the sparkly rainbows parading by, as well as the dense, turbulent, fetid imprints colliding into the bay of my mask-less core.
Authentic, raw and pristine intimacy with ALL we are and ALL that is, gives us a key to journeying this earthly path with and in peace - which also gifts us ease and bliss!
Yes - Awe - Gratitude - Peace - Bliss - Ease - Yes - Awe - Gratitude - Peace - Bliss - Ease - Yes - Awe - Gratitude - Peace - Bliss - Ease - Yes - Awe - Gratitude - Peace - Bliss - Ease - Yes !
Thank you Gabby for sharing the wisdom that comes through you.
Sat Nam, Namaste, Bliss Blessings for you!
It is all about our vibration.
How we feel is the clearest sign of how plugged into the essence of who we are and came to be on this earthly journey.
When waves are mellow and light, we can enjoy the ride, and choose bliss.
It is easy to feel amazing when our reality reflects the love vibe that powers all life isn't it?
But dense and dark waves come in and flow, bringing unexpected deaths that leave us without breath. Bliss is now out of reach. Our vibrational alignment is goooooooneeeee. Feeling good is now buried under the muck.
So... what can we do?
Find the hidden breath among the waters of death. Choose to listen deeply, and trust what we hear. Receive even the tiniest relief from any source that resonates with our path.
Yoga is one of those sources for me. There are many different lineages -Ashtanga, Yin, Sivananda, Jivamukti, Bikram, Kundalini and Iyengar among others. They're all deep gateways into the treasures of our Body-Soul. For me Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is the practice that leads back home when I have lost it all.
It is spring now, green, lush and blasting with life, and its chilly wind is so similar to fall it awakens my usual experience in that season. Fall is the most challenging time of the year for me. It brings the vibration of sudden tragic death into my Body-Soul. The death of my dad. Groundlessness takes over. Breath is lost and all becomes dense and tense.
Our Body-Soul stores every imprint. It is not about being in victim mode, just authentic -wholesome-fearless grieving. In shattered times (fall, spring or any intense season of life!), Kundalini Yoga holds my body-soul tenderly, and carries me back to feeling alive, centered and cozy in my skin and bones.
Kundalini Yoga works our physical-emotional-mental and spiritual being, through Kriyas: sets of asanas, mantras, meditation, yantras. It holds sacred space and guides us into vibrational alignment once again.
Kirtan Kriya is a beloved friend, as it supports the eternal SA -TA -NA- MA- Birth-Life-Death-Rebirth cycle. I will be leading a virtual Kirtan Kriya and Star Process™ Virtual/Online Journey soon. More details coming soon.
I believe we are all artists.
Our creations are born from our sacred physical-emotional-mental & spiritual-energetic being-ness.
I have a very intimate relationship with the art making process and all that is moved and created through it.
Drawing, painting, writing, sounding-singing and moving-dancing, are powerful instruments available to us to explore and express our physical-emotional-mental & spiritual-energetic being, and life experiences.
In the Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy Universe, art creations are Soul Messengers, who come to support us in our journey of being whole.
For example, a simple scribble charged with dark-dense words that springs out from the core of our anger, could be all we need to express and release this fire energy safely; and, it could create more inner space for using this raw force to align our actual life choices with our true preferences.
I love all the arts, and am deeply grateful for their healing gifts and support through my life path.
They have been my greatest ally during the most challenging times of my life - like the sudden tragic death of my beloved father and blue soul friend, while living far away from him.
Layered Soul Art is the art-making process I love and practice. It honors the birth-life-death-rebirth cycle, which powers all existence. It was born because one day it became crystal clear to me, that art creations can also die, and have the right and desire to be reborn too!
Layered Soul Art is an art making process where we have an intimate relationship with our Soul Messenger–Creation. We create sacred space to allow its birth, and invite and honor all its unique elements, colors, texture, words, sounds and movements. We play with it and heal, as we remember and reclaim one or many lost fragment(s) from our Soul World.
Awe takes over me, every time I experience the healing power our devotion, trust, and deep listening art making journeys have. Soul Messengers can move our physical –emotional-mental and spiritual energy when we are open and willing to receive their offerings. Shape- shifting, transmuting and magically remembering on different levels of our being what we need, to move through our present cluster of resistance-blocks-dis-ease, are all natural possibilities when we engage in authentic Layered Soul Art.
I like depth and intimate-personal relationships with everything: the Infinite within and in all that is, art creations, my beloved family, nature, food, herbs, cacao and all beings in all worlds.
In The Purple Star Process, we use Layered Soul Art to explore-express & empower our physical-emotional-mental & spiritual Self.
I love Layered Soul Art and look forward to sharing it with you !
Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy: A form of therapy that uses the different Expressive Arts (drawing, painting, movement-dance, writing <poetry, stories>, sculpture and sounding-singing ) as gateways into our Soul World and instruments to explore, express -reclaim-integrate and empower our Self as we become more whole and familiar, maybe even more comfortable with our darkness and our light!
Soul Messengers: Guides from the Soul World, who may come to us through our drawings-paintings, writing, intuitive movement, nature and dreams among many more.
Soul World:. Our conscious and unconscious physical-emotional-mental & spiritual universe; past, present and future imprints, patterns and creations. Our vast inner ocean and its infinite waves.
I would have loved these messages rooted in my mind-heart before becoming a mother. Maybe you already know them, maybe not...
I just want to share them with love, and possibly lighten up the bumps along the multi-shade spiral mama path.
All my LOVE!
Are you familiar with the Chakras?
I want to share with you why I am fascinated by them. They offer us deep, simple and powerful wisdom that we can use to feel more rooted and winged every day.
The Chakras have been a strong and clear guide in my healing journey & in how I support the that of other beings too and for this reason, they are strongly woven in all The Star Process™ work offerings I create and share. Their ancient wisdom and experiential wholeness makes them tangible lights and tools in the process of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual integration.
What are the Chakras?
The Chakras are wheel-like energy centers that spin within us. There are seven, and each one of them reflects a particular aspect of consciousness essential to our lives. Anodea Judith PH.D, author of "Wheels of Life: A User's Guide to the Chakra System," (2004), says:
"Together the seven chakras form a profound formula for wholeness that integrates mind, body and spirit. As a complete system the chakras provide a powerful tool for both personal and planetary growth.
Chakras are organizing centers for the reception, assimilation, and transmission of life energies. Our chakras, as core centers, form the coordinating network of our mind/body system. From instinctual behavior to consciously planned strategies, from emotions to artistic creations, the chakras are the master programs that govern our life, loves, learning and illumination, As seven vibratory modalities, the chakras form a mythical Rainbow Bridge, a connecting channel linking Heaven and Earth, mind and body, spirit and matter, past and future." (p. 4).
The chakras have been a solid anchor in my practice. Their integrated wisdom is a continuous inspiration for exploring the multiple levels our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being, through movement (yoga, intuitive dance), sound, drawing-painting, writing and food.
The Star Process™ is deeply grounded on the wisdom of the chakras.
Here is a wonderful chart that gives the big picture of their qualities and guidance.
